Join the Saint Thomas More Society of South Bend, Notre Dame Law School, and the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend for their annual Red Mass on October 7 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The Red Mass is a special devotion to the Holy Spirit, a prayer for virtues of wisdom, understanding, counsel, patience, energy, and courage. Lawyers, judges, government officials, scholars, and students in the legal field attend the Red Mass to seek divine guidance in their pursuit of legal justice.
This tradition has a rich history, dating back to 1245, and it has been celebrated at Notre Dame since 1955. The observation will be followed by a reception in Eck Commons. All are welcome to attend.
