Research

The Center for Citizenship and Constitutional Government seeks to cultivate thoughtful and educated citizens by supporting research, scholarship, and education on the ideas and institutions of constitutional government.

In pursuit of this goal, the CCCG funds annually faculty research and teaching excellence grants designed to enrich and elevate faculty research projects, classroom instruction, and resulting publications. We welcome applications for these grants from our affiliated faculty in a range of disciplines and fields.

Center-sponsored scholarship

With generous support from benefactors, the CCCG funds the development and publication of significant new works by major authors with the potential to impact disciplines and fields related to American constitutional ideas and institutions, political theory, and American public life.

Sponsored publications are intended to educate, inform, and inspire and they serve a range of audiences in the academy, policymaking, law, jurisprudence, government agencies, and the general public.

As part of its efforts in pursuing these goals, the center partners with the University of Notre Dame Press to publish excellent scholarship on the ideas and institutions of constitutional government.
