Jennifer Shin
Class Year: 2022
Majors: Neuroscience and Behavior
Minors: Philosophy, Politics, Economics
Jennifer Shin is a sophomore from Auckland, New Zealand, studying Neuroscience and Behavior, minoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. This summer, she worked as a Research Assistant for the CoronaNet Project, an international effort tracking government responses to the coronavirus pandemic, and a Business Development Analyst Intern for the IDEA Center. During her freshman year, Jennifer was in the Notre Dame RCIA program and was initiated into the Catholic Church last Easter. During her discernment, she developed an interest in the legitimization of political power through religion and the competition between the Church and state to maintain law and order. She hopes to explore this interest further through participation in the Tocqueville Fellowship.
