J. Joel Alicia serves as the St. Robert Bellarmine Professor of Law at The Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law, where he teaches courses in American constitutional theory, civil procedure, and constitutional law. He is also director of the law school’s Center for the Constitution and the Catholic Intellectual Tradition and a nonresident fellow at AEI. He joins FedSoc to discuss how the Bruen case has potential serious repercussions for how the Court adjucates constitutional rights on a textual and historical basis and the rise of the rights-revisionist critique. He will argue how the Bruen methodology is grounded in the Founding Era's conception of rights.
