Application Open for Fall 2023 Tocqueville Fellowship

Tocqueville Fellows With Congresswoman Liz Cheney

The Center for Citizenship & Constitutional Government is pleased to announce the call for applications for the Fall 2023 Menard Family Tocqueville Fellowship. The application will be live from April 3 through May 19. 

To apply, undergraduate students may use this form to submit a personal statement and resumé/CV to Center director Prof. Vincent Phillip Muñoz.

Finalists will be selected and notified if they have reached the interview stage within three weeks of the deadline.

To apply, students shall fill out basic contact information and provide the following materials:

  • Resume/CV (one page maximum) 
  • Personal Statement Watch this lecture by Profs. Ben and Jenna Storey. In 1000 words or less, please answer the following prompt: In light of this lecture, what is your purpose in applying for the Tocqueville Fellowship?

Students from Notre Dame, St. Mary’s College, and Holy Cross Community College are encouraged to apply. Students can be part of any college or major, and we welcome students who are not regularly involved in political activities on campus.

Because we are only able to accept a limited number of fellows each semester, we ask and expect applicants to be able to participate in programming and events. Current fellows are asked to reapply each semester to continue with the fellowship.
