Modern Age Panel: Regime Change and the Future of Liberalism

Professor Patrick Deneen of the Department of Political Science at Notre Dame will be in Washington D.C. on May 17 to  to take part in a panel discussion of his soon-to-be published new book, Regime Change. Appearing on the panel with Professor Deneen will be Senator J.D. Vance (OH), Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts, and Washington Post columnist Christine Emba. The event will take place in Heritage Hall on the campus of the Catholic University of America on May 17, with a reception beginning at at 5:30 p.m. and the event scheduled for 6 p.m.  Copies of the book are expected to be available.  Information about the event (which is ticketed) is available here: https://isi.org/events/regime-change-and-the-future-of-liberalism/.  Students can register for free.
 
Professor Deneen’s previous book, Why Liberalism Failed, has been widely discussed and reviewed, and was described by President Obama as a book that “offers cogent insights into the loss of meaning and community that many in the West feel, issues that liberal democracies ignore at their own peril.” It has been translated into more than twenty languages.
